    Submit a Short Story:

    Theme: “The Essence of Tullahassee”

In 250-500 words, share a story that captures the essence of Tullahassee through your eyes. Reflect on the moments that define the spirit of the community, the experiences that have shaped your connection to Tullahassee, or the aspirations that you hold for its future. Your narrative should weave together personal anecdotes with the rich tapestry of Tullahassee’s culture, values, and traditions.

     Guidelines:

Your story should be typed, double-spaced and maintain anonymity with no identifying details.

Word Limit: 250-500 words, double-spaced, to maintain brevity and impact.

Anonymity is Key: Ensure no personal identifiers are included in your story.

*A narrator will recite all the stories to the audience, who will then vote for their favorite, determining the winner without knowing who the story belonged to.

Miss Tullahassee / Miss Tullahassee Teen

The Tullahassee Proud Pageant Board welcomes all young ladies between the ages of 13-25 years of age to compete in our upcoming pageant to be held Saturday, July 22, 2023. The Miss Tullahassee / Miss Tullahassee Teen Pageant will select the young ladies that best represent the values that Tullahassee holds dear.

The purpose of the Miss Tullahassee/Tullahassee Teen Pageant is to develop women that will embody principles of self-confidence and self-worth, and to publicly recognize young ladies who have obtained personal and community achievements. Our goal is to provide unique opportunities for young women to create and maintain a system of competition which will enhance career opportunities and produce role models representing positive values. We also strive to emphasize the importance of representing our community, to honoring our legacy  and encouraging and endorsing positivity and growth in all aspects of our society. Miss Tullahassee and Miss Tullahassee Teen must possess the care and concern needed to represent the community, history and future.

We also believe that involvement in community service should be encouraged and in order to be a strong female leader, a young woman must be a well-rounded individual. Not only should she be able to challenge herself scholastically, but she must also be poised and comfortable with herself in learned and natural talents. Ladies who vie for these titles must be well-versed on a variety of topics. Our expectation is that the chosen queens will be responsible individuals, whose desire is to contribute to the greater good through education, volunteerism, and personal growth.

This event is also a fundraiser sponsored by the Tullahassee Wildcat’s Foundation.  Proceeds will go to completing and maintaining the John Ford Jr. Community Center, The AJ Mason building project, scholarship/stipends for students of the pageant and Tullahassee Beautillion.

We would like to thank you for your interest in the Miss Tullahassee and Tullahassee Teen Pageant. We are currently seeking ladies that exemplify the qualities of scholarship, elegance, style and grace to represent as our Miss Tullahassee and Miss Tullahassee Teen. Tullahassee is an old town with new ideas that proudly display the Wildcat colors of Gold and Blue.

Our outgoing Tullahassee Queens from 2022-2023: Jada Hytche, Jaliyah Mitchell and Jeasha Outlaw will graciously be available to help contestants, fundraiser and crown their successor.
